Head of Consumer Insights + Analytics

Shaw Search Partners is proudly the retained recruiting partner to a global CPG and assisting in building a brand new team in Boston and is looking for a Head of Consumer Insights & Analytics !
One of the new teams is the Consumer Insights & Analytics team which serves as the internal consultant to key functions across this global business, including executive, marketing, and sales organizations. This team consists of both consumer focused strategists and quantitative data analysts. The team is a fully integrated partner to all business functions, ensuring close partnerships that effectively inform, drive, and measure company performance.
As an Analytics Manager you will be responsible for delivering analytic services in support of the organization’s marketing efforts to make our programs smarter and more impactful. You will maximize our return on marketing investment through ongoing program measurement, disciplined in-market testing, and results-based performance management.
WHAT WILL I DO?
As a team member in this role, you will be responsible for:
Identifying critical business problems, translating them into structured analyses, synthesizing data from multiple sources, and delivering insights that drive strategy, by partnering closely with stakeholders and CIA teammates
Regular delivery of reporting and analysis on the performance of digital campaigns across a variety of digital channels
Analysis of ecommerce sales data, both directly from brand sites and also on Amazon.com
Designing experiments to test marketing hypotheses around optimal spend, strategy, and tactics
Working with stakeholders and external partners to develop and implement a approach to marketing attribution
Management and mentoring junior analytics team members
Constantly looking for improvements in tools, data sources, and analytic techniques to improve various aspects of marketing analytical and business needs
Thinking strategically about opportunities to drive connections across the team, sharing best practices, and driving stakeholder value
WHAT DO I NEED?
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or Marketing
10-15 years of professional experience in direct marketing, online marketing, advertising, or consulting.
Experience with one or more statistical analysis tools a plus (e.g. SAS, SPSS, Stata)
Experience with one or more database platform a plus (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server, AWS Redshift)
Experience with a digital analytics solution a must (e.g. SiteCatalyst, Webtrends, Google Analytics, DART, Atlas), Google Analytics expertise preferred
Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Experience with ecommerce data analysis, Amazon ecommerce platform experience preferred
Experience with business intelligence and data visualization solutions (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Looker)
Strong quantitative and qualitative skills with proven data interpretation abilities
